Responsibilities
The Leadership Head of Sixth Form responsibilities: As a leader of Sixth Form professional education you should be able to demonstrate that you an effective leader, teacher and manager who challenges and supports all staff and students
to do their best through:

- Engaging and motivating students in proficiencies and competency achievement
- Analytical thinking;

- Using a wide range of data and evidence to inform evaluation and improvement planning
- Promoting the school’s vision and rights of the child
- Leading learning within the department;
- Overseeing the management and development of the curriculum within the department;
- Representing the department to the Senior Leadership Team;
- Communicating decisions made by the SLT or ALT to the department;
- The creation of an innovative department-based approach to learning;
- Monitoring and continually improving the quality of teaching and learning throughout the department;
- The introduction of new and innovative approaches to teaching and learning;
- The provision of exceptional care for the wellbeing of students
- The provision of excellent care for the wellbeing of staff
- The provision of excellent community education and information sharing to effectively include and involve parents and family in every students education
- The leadership of guidance and support to ensure students and their families understand their educational pathways and opportunities and can make the best choices for them
- Useful and engaging induction into the Sixth Form for students and their families
- The development of staff understanding of global university admissions processes
- Leadership and management of the department staff team;
- The continuing improvement of department provision;
- The Head of Sixth Form may be asked to deputise for the Faculty Leader in his/her absence.
The Head of Sixth Form will directly manage the staff within her/his department.
Main tasks
- Teaching and Learning
- Provide pedagogic leadership for the department, playing a key part in raising standards of teaching and learning in the Sixth Form by supporting the professional development of her/his colleagues.
- Excellence in her/his own teaching
Management of Students’ Attainment and Progress
- Develop and operate systems for monitoring and improving students' attainment and progress within the department.
Management of Staff
- Create a climate of high quality professional dialogue and collegiality, constantly striving for improvement and sharing of best practice between teachers and leaders, to enrich and enhance the learning process.
- Ensure that standards of teaching and learning across the department are at the highest levels.
- Play a leading role in the development of the policies required for the school.
- Develop, lead, motivate and manage the department’s staff.
- Participate where appropriate in the selection and appointment of staff.
- Implement policies and procedures for staff development, ensuring that the Bangkok Prep Developing Professional Capacity process is well-used to improve the department’s provision, to meet the defined aims of the school improvement
plan, and to facilitate the professional development of all members of the department’s staff team.
Personal Secretary Administrator/Accountant Manager Responsibilities
As a Personal Secretary Administrator/Accountant Manager your Responsibilities include:
Coordinating Teachers and report to Directors also report to Six Form Leadership Team if Directors are unavailable. Supporting Leadership
Team of Six Form, ensure an appropriate management of staff resources, making reports of business expenses and incomes administrative processing of invoices; including providing record of students’ payments for enrolments of International
and National tutorial programmes, payroll administration, calculation of turnover tax and value-added tax.
- Use a word processing package such as Microsoft Word
- Audio and copy type
- Write letters
- Deal with telephone and email enquiries, using an email system (e.g. Microsoft Outlook)
- Photocopy and print various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues
- Organise and store paperwork, documents and computer-based information
- Create and maintain filing and other office systems
- Keep diaries and arrange appointments
- Schedule and attend meetings, create agendas and take minutes - shorthand may be required to do this
- Book meeting rooms and conference facilities
- Liaise with staff in other departments and with external contacts
- Order and maintain stationery and equipment
- Organise travel and accommodation for staff and other external contacts.
Depending on the sector and company, you may also carry out the following duties:
- Use a variety of software packages (including Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint) to manage data and produce documents and presentations
- Use content management systems (CMS) to maintain and update websites and internal databases
- Manage and maintain budgets and carry out invoicing
- Sort and distribute incoming post and organise and send outgoing post (this may involve the use of a franking machine)
- Recruit, train and supervise junior staff and delegate work as required
- Manipulate statistical data
- Arrange in-house and external events
- Arrange training for staff members
Senior Lecturer
Responsibilities
As a Senior Lecture SunMich Tutorial Study Centre your Responsibilities include;
Making request and arrangement for teachers if there is a lack. Supervising teachers while ensuring that the registered Six Form students are engaging
appropriately with their learning, engaging and motivating students and contribute a positive action to improve the quality of students’ learning.
- Plan and teach lessons to the classes they are assigned to within the context of the centre’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work.
- Teaching various subjects, Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned students.
- Liaison with SiX Form Leadership
- Participate in arrangements for preparing students for external examinations.
Whole centre organisation, strategy and development.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the centre’s policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the centre’s values and vision.
- Work with others on curriculum and/or student development to secure co-ordinated outcomes.
- Supervise and, so far as practicable, teach any students where the person timetabled to take the class is not available to do so. This is subject to the requirement that teachers should be required to provide cover only rarely.
Health, safety and discipline.
- Promote the safety and wellbeing of students.
- Maintain good order and discipline amongst students.
Management of staff and resources.
- Direct and supervise support staff assigned to them and, where appropriate, other teachers.
- Contribute to the recruitment, selection, appointment and professional development of other teachers and support staff.
- Deploy resources delegated to them.
Professional development.
- Participate in arrangements for the appraisal and review of their own performance and, where appropriate, that of other teachers and support staff.
- Participate in arrangements for their own further training and professional development and, where appropriate, that of other teachers and support staff, including induction.
Communication.
- Communicate with students, parents and carers.
- Working with colleagues and other relevant professionals.
- Collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within and beyond the centre.
